Day 01 - HOTEL This tour is start from Kalutara/Bentota/Beruwala, Negombo (or from the airport on arrival) hotels at 06.00am or 06.30am from Negombo/Marawila hotels with the breakfast packets. Early morning you will be met with and welcomed by CYRIL TOURS guide and transfer to Kandy Enroute vehicle will stop at to Pinnawala, Elephant Orphanage. Elephant orphanage in Pinnawala to witness the feeding to the baby elephants. The elephant orphanage is about 2 and half hours’ drive from the hotel and are a good chance for people to get up close and personal with the pachyderm. It is good idea to go and have a cup of tea by the river while watching the bathing elephants. Then to Kandy, where you will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also, in the evening you can enjoy the Cultural Show. This is a spectacular experience with the traditional dancers performing their skills, including fire walking. It’s a one-hour in-house show. Overnight stay at hotel in Kandy. Kandy is the reputed ancient hill capital of Ceylon and the seat of the last Sinhalese Kingdom. It’s nearly 120km away from capital of Colombo. One hour from the elephant orphanage. Kandy is most famous because it is the second largest city in Sri Lanka. Kandy is a great place to buy gemstones, Sapphires of all colures, rubies, tourmalines and many precious and semiprecious stones can all be found here. Visitors are also invited to have a look around their workshops, where they will be able to see the design, cutting, polishing and setting processes. Day 02 - After breakfast, it’s time for leave to visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. Dambulla is a world heritage site. The complex of 5 caves with over 2000 sq. meters of Housed at the Sigiriya Rock Fortress are the world-famous frescoes of the heavenly maidens of Sigiriya. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments of plaster. It’s a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200m from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectares fortified town.
