Thank you for arranging our first visit to your beautiful country. We had a very  enjoyable, comfortable, safe, interesting and memorable holiday.

All the accommodations you provided were very clean and comfortable and we will always remember the welcome, we felt when the smiling staff cheerfully looked after us and our every need.

The itinerary you arranged was just right for us and made even better with the care you took whilst driving your very comfortable, clean vehicle.

You really did make us feel like VIPs with your attention to our needs – including the birthday cake!!

Dear Cyril,

Sincerest apologies for this delayed email --- reason being that I had been extremely busy with work & travel, since returning from Sri Lanka and just got a breather now, to download our photos and catch up with private matters.

Hope this email finds you & family, in the best of health & spirits. Your granddaughter must be keeping you busy and giving you & Mrs. Baddegama immense joy.

At this end, we are doing fine. Nikhita is back at school, now in Grade 7 and having lots of studying to cope with --- with God's blessings, we hope she will do as well as did in her previous class.

She is constantly talking about the wonderful time she had in Sri Lanka. Fact of the matter is that all of us had a great time and for that, we have to thank you --- it was arguably one of the best holidays we have ever had --- Nikhita is already looking forward to her next trip there and something tells me, it will be one of her favorite travel destinations even after she grows up and who can fault her for that as the country is blessed with unsurpassed beauty --- we wish for nothing else but complete peace, continued progress & commensurate  prosperity for Sri Lanka and her people :-)

Bet you were glued to the TV and caught all the action surrounding the Cricket World Cup final in Mumbai. It was a wonderful match. Even though India won, I personally felt that the Sri Lankan played very well and deserved all the kudos. If they keep up with this standard of performance, I have no doubt that they will lift the cup in the next World Cup. Personally, very sad to note of Muralitharan's retirement and that Kumar Sangakkara has relinquished his captaincy --- clearly two of the best cricket players the world has seen in recent times. FYI, Nikhita still gets all excited when we talk about the absolutely-catchy Sri Lankan cricket jingle which we used to hear over the radio, whilst traveling in your car.

As requested, please find attached some photos that we had taken during our holidays there. Do drop me a line to acknowledge this email, so that I know that the photos have come through. I know you will be busy shuttling from one place to another but do keep in touch, whenever time permits. I will also do likewise and will also call when I am next in Colombo.
