Itinerary – Points of Interest:

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Colombo at 08:30 AM. The tour proceeds in the following order:

1. Wolvendaal Church (Dutch Reformed, 1749)

A hidden colonial gem with Baroque Dutch architecture and centuries-old tombstones.

2. Old Parliament Building (Colonial-era Neo-Baroque)

Located near the Colombo Fort, this stately building served as Sri Lanka’s legislature until 1983.

3. Colombo Lighthouse & Clock Tower

A navigational and civic landmark built before London’s Big Ben, designed by Lady Ward.

4. Galle Face Green

Seaside promenade with colonial roots and World War II artifacts.

5. Prison Cell of the Last Sri Lankan King

Where King Sri Vikrama Rajasinghe was held after capture—marking the end of native monarchy.

16. BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall)

A significant post-independence monument gifted by China, often used for academic and diplomatic events.

17. University of Colombo (Drive-by View)

The oldest university in Sri Lanka and a hub of postcolonial scholarship.

18. Nelum Pokuna Theatre

19. New Sri Lankan Parliament (Geoffrey Bawa’s Masterpiece)
