HILL CLUB - NUWARAELIYA

Discover Nature at its Finest

The Hill Club looks over the town of Nuwara Eliya and consists of 39 cozily appointed bedrooms with hot/cold water, each equipped with television and telephone facility, including two suites on the upper floor and three family rooms in the Chalet; a large reading room, mixed lounge, casual bar, mixed bar, casual dining room, billiard room equipped with 2 full sized tables, main dining hall serving eastern and western cuisine, and A'la Carte. Room service, laundry, car rental, IDD, Internet and e mail facilities in all rooms and public areas are available. The Hill Club boasts of four of the finest clay courts in the Island and in the days gone by, it was a venue for the Ceylon Tennis Nationals. The Courts are of first-class condition. The Annual Ranking Tennis tournament is also conducted annually in the month of April at the Hill Club. At present, the Club stands proud as it serves an exclusive membership of around 750, both foreign and local.

Nuwara Eliya - Little England

This enchanting town is located at an altitude of 6500 feet above sea level, which has a much cooler climate than the lowlands of the country, with temperatures ranging from 12⁰ Celsius to 22⁰ Celsius. Blessed with a salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains, gardens and greenery, it is hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 178 km from the hot and humid Colombo. Golfing, Horse Racing, Boating, Fishing, Trekking, Mountain climbing, sightseeing and many other fascinating recreational activities, all in season, makes Nuwara Eliya the ideal holiday resort, promising holiday makers an unforgettable experience. The Hill Club stands high with pride, centering this colorful dream. Nuwara Eliya is located approximately 165 km from the Colombo International Airport (178 kms from Colombo), or in other words, a 5 hour drive.
